Delhi: Police increased security during festive season, checking campaign intensified in the capital.

New Delhi, October 15 (). Keeping in mind the security arrangements for the upcoming festivals including Diwali and Chhath, Delhi Police has geared up. In this sequence, to ensure public safety and maintain law and order, Delhi Police has increased foot patrolling in the capital.

During this period, special attention is being given to markets and crowded areas. Delhi Police said that the objective of this exercise is to instill a sense of trust among the public through its visible presence and community participation.

Increased police activity also helps in tracking criminals and preventing crimes in crowded areas. Senior officers from the respective areas are leading the patrolling teams.

In the information released by Delhi Police Public Relations Office, it was said that apart from patrolling, Delhi Police is also taking many other security measures, which include announcements through PA system to alert the public in crowded areas, verification campaign, bus checking campaign, intensifying picket checking etc.

Delhi Police also urges citizens to cooperate with the police, remain alert and report any suspicious activity.

Earlier, Delhi Police took to social media platform X that with the arrival of the festive season, Delhi Police has increased patrolling across the city to ensure safe and peaceful festivals for all citizens.

In this sequence, officers of all the districts conducted extensive patrolling under the leadership of Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha. Extensive vehicle checking, picket inspection and increased patrolling in the area, policing was strengthened and security was ensured in markets, mohallas and public places.
