Delhi Police's quick action: Mobile robbery case solved in Vasant Kunj South within 48 hours, two robbers arrested

New Delhi . Vasant Kunj South Police Station of South-West District of Delhi Police solved the case of mobile robbery and arrested both the accused within just 48 hours. The looted iPhone and the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the crime have also been recovered. The entire incident took place on the night of 14 November 2025. K.K., resident of Sector-18, Gurugram. Called the police control room and informed that two youths attacked him in Vasant Kunj area and forcibly snatched his iPhone SE. Not only this, the robbers threatened the victim and got Rs 1500 transferred from his phone to their account through UPI and then ran away with the phone. As soon as the complaint was received, on the instructions of the station in-charge, an FIR was immediately registered under BNS. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West) Amit Goyal. The team included SI Ravi Malik, Head Constable Naveen, Head Constable Nemi Chand, Constable Harish and Lady Constable Suman.
The team scanned hundreds of CCTV footages of NH-48, Vasant Kunj Road, Masoodpur Road and Mahipalpur Road. On the basis of technical surveillance and local input, the main accused Ashish (22 years) was first arrested from Mahipalpur. During strict interrogation, he revealed the name of his associate Abhishek Dixit alias Golu (22 years). After this, the police raided the forest near Arjun Camp and arrested Golu also.
Both the accused are residents of Mahipalpur and work in hotels to bring customers on commission basis. Ashish is a fifth pass student and is addicted to drugs, while Golu is said to be illiterate. Both have been involved in petty crimes in the past also.
Police have recovered the looted iPhone SE and the clothes worn at the time of the crime from the accused. During interrogation, it has come to light that both of them used to commit such crimes to satisfy their drug addiction.
