The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team has taken major action against corruption in Sawai Madhopur. The ACB team arrested Anupam Goyal, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department, while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. Goyal had demanded bribe in return for submitting the inspection report. After verifying the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap on Tuesday evening. Anupam Goyal, Deputy Project Director (ATMA), posted in the Agriculture Department of Sawai Madhopur district, was arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
ACB ASP Gyan Singh Chaudhary said that the ACB post of Anti Corruption Bureau located in Sawai Madhopur had received a complaint on toll-free number 1064. The complainant said that the accused Anupam Goyal was demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 in return for resolving the inspection report issued to a fertilizer-seed shop located in Gangapur City and was not harassing him.
He was harassing her for not paying the bribe. After this the ACB verified the complaint. The accused admitted to taking Rs 10,000 from the complainant on November 11. Subsequently, a trap was laid under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of ACB Range Bharatpur Rajesh Singh and ASP of ACB Outpost Sawai Madhopur Gyan Singh Chaudhary. The team arrested the accused Anupam Goyal, Deputy Project Director (ATMA), Agriculture Department, Sawai Madhopur.
