The trailer of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has been in the news ever since its launch, due to which the excitement for the film is skyrocketing. The makers are expecting a huge opening at the box office on March 19, and hence, the ticket prices have been fixed to draw everyone to the theatre. One of the biggest releases of the year, Dhurandhar 2, or Dhurandhar The Revenge, is set to break records. It is receiving an overwhelming response with advance bookings for paid preview shows, making it a huge success even before its release.
According to SACNILC, in the domestic market, Dhurandhar The Revenge has already earned around ₹156.5 million (approximately $1.56 billion) before advance booking for paid previews across all languages.
When blocked seats are included, the figure reaches ₹212 million (about $2.12 billion).
More advance booking for Hindi version
Most of the collections came from the Hindi (2D) version, which earned ₹152.8 million (approximately $1.52 million) by selling 262,203 tickets across 7,657 shows, with an average ticket price of ₹418. The Hindi Dolby Cine format earned ₹11.4 million (about $1.14 million) from 146 tickets across two shows. Collections in other languages include the Tamil (2D) version, which earned ₹162.8 million (approximately $1.62 million) from 11,223 tickets. Telugu (2D) earned another ₹143.9 million (about $1.43 million) from 6,008 tickets. The Malayalam (2D) version earned ₹1.58 lakh from 646 tickets, while the Kannada (2D) version earned ₹1.61 lakh from 386 tickets. SaccNilc estimates that this spy-thriller will earn ₹35 crore+ from paid preview shows, before the official release.
State-wise advance booking figures for Dhurandhar 2 show
In terms of state-wise advance booking for paid previews, Maharashtra leads the charts with ₹4.22 crore (₹5.37 crore including blocked seats) from 1,481 shows.
It is followed by Delhi, which earned ₹3.3 crore (₹4.05 crore including blocked seats) from 1,077 shows.
Karnataka is also set to do well in the southern states, earning ₹2.77 crore (₹3.24 crore with blocked seats) from 515 shows with 32% occupancy.
In the other southern market, Telangana earned ₹79.99 lakh (₹1.56 crore with blocked seats) with 30% occupancy. Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, earned ₹63.28 lakh (₹1.19 crore with blocked seats) with 29% occupancy.
Among other territories, Gujarat earned ₹81.77 lakh (₹1.18 crore with blocked seats) from 987 shows, while Punjab added ₹42.13 lakh (₹62.39 lakh with blocked seats).
States like Rajasthan (38.77 lakh), West Bengal (35.75 lakh), Kerala (29.87 lakh), and Madhya Pradesh (29.78 lakh) have also seen consistent advance booking.
The paid preview shows of Dhurandhar 2 are scheduled to take place on March 18.
Dhurandhar 2 Worldwide Box Office Report
According to Variety’s report, Dhurandhar 2 is set for a big opening worldwide. For its premiere in the USA, the Ranveer Singh starrer has already sold 38,545 tickets across 557 venues, earning $618,911 (approximately ₹5.15 crore). With these numbers, the total premiere ticket sales of the film in India and the United States have crossed 2.57 lakh tickets worldwide.
