Chandigarh. Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon reacted to the statements made by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann regarding central investigative agencies. He said that the traders and business class of Punjab is hardworking, intelligent and aware, hence they will not be influenced by political propaganda or misleading talk. Dhillon said that the businessmen of the state understand the truth very well and take their decisions on any issue based on facts. He expressed confidence that the business community will form its opinion looking at the real situation instead of false propaganda. Kewal Singh Dhillon said that the real question is why many Aam Aadmi Party leaders have been facing serious allegations of corruption? He said that instead of answering this question, the party leadership is trying to confuse people by giving political and religious color to the legal action. He alleged that efforts are being made to malign the image of constitutional institutions and investigative agencies to protect leaders facing corruption charges. Dhillon said that this kind of politics is neither right nor in the interest of democracy.
Taking aim at Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, he said that he does not understand why the Aam Aadmi Party government gets so upset when action is taken in corruption cases.
He said, “The central investigating agencies are doing their work as per the law. If a person is innocent then he should not have any fear. If someone has violated the law then he will have to answer for his actions.”
Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon said that the honest traders, businessmen and industrialists of the state are the backbone of the economy of Punjab and they play an important role in the progress of the state.
He said, “Bharatiya Janata Party has always been committed to protecting the interests of traders and business class. BJP governments have provided safe environment, respect and better opportunities to honest entrepreneurs to grow their business.”
Dhillon said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should stop using the names of businessmen for political gains. He said that the government should pay attention to the problems faced by the business community of Punjab like gangster activities, extortion and increasing insecurity.
“Traders and businessmen of the state deserve to work in a safe environment. They should be protected from criminals and not used for political ends,” he said.
