Jaipur. In view of the Diwali festival, along with the work being done in active mode by the Fire Branch, Health Branch, Garage Branch, Garden Branch, the Engineer Wing is also carrying out the repair work of the main roads and colony roads which were damaged due to rain on mission mode at the headquarters and zone level with the aim of repairing the damaged roads to provide relief to the general public and to ensure smooth traffic. For this, Rs 6 crore 30 lakh was sanctioned by Municipal Corporation Greater. Municipal Corporation Greater Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini said that with the aim of providing relief to the common people and on the occasion of Deepotsav festival, the repair work is being done in active mode by conducting a survey of the roads damaged due to rain. Along with this, instructions have also been given to work with quality and as per the prescribed standards. During the survey, 86.47 km of roads were found damaged, out of which about 45 km of roads have been repaired. Regarding the festival of Deepotsav, patchwork work is going on in the main markets and will be completed before Diwali. To ensure that the general public does not face any kind of problem, repair work is being done even at night.
