Earthquake in Bengal politics! Humayun's open challenge to Mamata Banerjee, said - 'I myself will lay the foundation of Babri Masjid...'

In Bengal, rebel leader of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress party Humayun Kabir is adamant on laying the foundation stone of Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. After being suspended from TMC, his stance has become even more strict. Humayun Kabir spoke at Beldanga village in Murshidabad, where he claims he will lay the foundation stone of Babri Masjid on December 6. Earlier, the owner of the land where Humayun Kabir had initially planned to build a mosque had clarified that a petrol pump would not be built there, but a mosque. Humayun Kabir shows the eight katta land earmarked for Babri Masjid, where he will lay the foundation stone tomorrow. He also claimed that two lakh people would attend the event. However, Mamata Banerjee has distanced herself from Humayun Kabir.

After the announcement of laying the foundation stone of Babri Masjid, hoardings, posters and pamphlets have been distributed in the villages of Murshidabad. The design of Babri Masjid is also shown in these posters and pamphlets. Kabir’s announcement has created a stir in political circles, 33 years after the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on 6 December.

According to Kabir, two plots of land have been earmarked for the mosque in Beldanga village. The land is near the highway, and like the Babri Masjid, it also has three domes in its design. It is just five kilometers away from Beldanga Police Station. Kabir said that construction materials like concrete and cement have been collected for the program. He claimed that he will lay the foundation of this mosque on December 6 amidst a huge crowd.

Humayun Kabir suspended from TMC
Humayun Kabir was suspended from Trinamool Congress Party on 4 December. The party made it clear that it has nothing to do with the Babri Masjid programme. However, undeterred by the suspension, Kabir announced that he himself would leave the party, lay the foundation stone of Babri Masjid, and announce a new party on 22 December. His party will contest elections on 130 to 135 seats. It is being said that Humayun Kabir wants to become Asaduddin Owaisi of Bengal.

Important instructions of Kolkata High Court
Meanwhile, the Kolkata High Court has directed to maintain status quo in the Babri Masjid case to maintain communal harmony. Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Partha Sarathi Sen said this during the hearing on Friday. However, the court refused to interfere in the Babri Masjid case in Murshidabad. He refused to issue orders to stop the foundation stone laying ceremony of Babri Masjid. The court directed the administration to maintain peace.
