New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint (PC) against M/s Tarbiya Education Foundation, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, Vinod Kumar and Shri Om Chauhan before the Special Court (PMLA), Saket, New Delhi under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002. These accused were already arrested by ED during the investigation. ED had initiated investigation on the basis of FIR registered by Delhi Police under various sections of IPC, 1860. The FIR pertained to fraudulent acquisition of land bearing Khasra No. 792 situated at Madanpur Khadar village, New Delhi, using forged and fabricated documents, including General Power of Attorney (GPA) and other ownership documents. ED investigation revealed that the GPA on the basis of which the land was transferred to M/s Tarbiya Education Foundation was dated January 7, 2024. The investigation also revealed that many of the original owners of the land had passed away decades before 2004. Further, investigation also revealed that accused Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui and others had conspired together to forge signatures/thumb impressions of the original owners to illegally take possession of the land.
The investigation also revealed that these GPAs were forged in the year 2012-13, just before the transfer of the assets to M/s Tarbiya Education Foundation. Accused Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, in connivance with other accused, had also carried out a sham banking transaction to make this illegal occupation of land appear as a genuine transaction.
The investigation also revealed that huge cash transactions were done by Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui for this illegal land acquisition. The value of property acquired from crime involved in this case is estimated to be approximately Rs 47.76 crore.
ED has also attached the said land, which is worth Rs 45.84 crore and which was illegally occupied by Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui and M/s Tarbia Education Foundation. Further investigation by ED is still going on.
