Jaipur. ‘Earth Hour’ was celebrated at the Chief Minister’s office and residence on Saturday night to give the message of environmental protection and energy saving. In support of this global campaign, electricity was kept off for one hour from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
The future is secure only through proper use of energy resources.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that for environmental protection, everyone will have to unite and play an active role in proper utilization of energy resources. He stressed that only through judicious use of energy can the future of the coming generations be secured.

During Earth Hour, all the lights and electrical equipment of the Chief Minister’s office and residence remained completely switched off. During this period of one hour, the personnel posted there completed their official work by candlelight.
Appeal to adopt the campaign every day
Bhajanlal Sharma appealed to the general public not to limit this energy utilization campaign to just one day (Earth Hour), but make it a part of their lifestyle and adopt it every day. He said that saving resources is our true responsibility towards the environment.
