Entire Punjab is waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit: Manjinder Singh Sirsa

Chandigarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to Jalandhar (Punjab) on the 649th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has said that the entire Punjab is eagerly waiting for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to the media, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “The Prime Minister has an emotional bond with Guru Ravidas and the people of Punjab. The whole of Punjab is waiting for his visit. All preparations have been made.” The Prime Minister is going to Jalandhar on the 649th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. They will land at Adampur Airport. Even before his visit, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has demanded to change the name of Adampur Airport after ‘Shri Guru Ravidas’. Mann posted on ‘X’ and said that the people of Punjab will always be grateful to him for this.
During his tour, PM Modi will reach Dera Sachkhand Ballan and meet Saint Niranjan Das there. Dera Satkhand Ballan is considered to be one of the big religious deras in the Doaba region of Punjab. This camp is in Ballan village, about 13 kilometers from Jalandhar. Saint Niranjan Das has been honored with Padma Shri.
Before this, the Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate the completed Halwara International Airport at Etiyana, Ludhiana on February 1. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs and MLAs will be present on the occasion of the inauguration.
Halwara International Airport is a historic achievement for Punjab. The airport has been assigned the code HWR, ICAO code VIHX and IATA code. This airport has been prepared for Boeing 737-700 and Airbus 320 aircraft. In the first phase, flights to Delhi are proposed by Air India and Vistara.
Investment and employment opportunities will increase from Halwara Airport. Modern aviation facilities will be available to Ludhiana and surrounding industrial areas and pressure on existing airports will be reduced.
