Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 will be a powerful platform for technology and agriculture which will lay the foundation for building prosperous farmers, prosperous Rajasthan and prosperous India. He said that new dimensions of development are being established in every field in Rajasthan. The state is rapidly moving towards self-reliance in the fields of water and electricity, which is creating immense possibilities for investment and innovation in the agriculture sector.
The Chief Minister was addressing agri-tech startups, entrepreneurs, investors and agricultural experts at the Gram-2026 Investors Meet in Bengaluru on Sunday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasizes on the seed to market vision to empower farmers, which aims to make farming modern, profitable and technology-based. This will increase the income of farmers and our food providers will be prosperous and happy. Sharma said that in order to make the farmers technologically prosperous, the state government is organizing the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 from May 23 to 25 in Jaipur, which will be the beginning of a new era of technology-based agriculture. In this, along with farmers and cattle rearers of the state, agricultural experts, scientists and technical experts from the country and abroad will gather. During this time, farmers will be exposed to Agritech, drone technology, AI, modern farming and food processing etc. He invited tech entrepreneurs and investors to participate in this ambitious event.
Rajasthan is the leader in the production of food grains.
The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is progressing rapidly in the agriculture sector. Rajasthan is the leader in the production of various grains including millet. Our state ranks first in the production of mustard, oilseeds, barley and guar and isabgol and cumin and second in the production of fenugreek, garlic, fennel, coriander, carom, moong and groundnut. He said that during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, MoUs were signed on a large scale in the agriculture sector which are being continuously implemented.
Sharma said that there are many opportunities for investment in food processing, cold chain, organic agriculture, spice park and agricultural technology in the state. Rajasthan can become a living lab for tech companies, where technology can change the agriculture sector on a large scale.
Farmers in 24 districts are getting electricity during the day, Annadata is becoming energy provider
Sharma said that Rajasthan has made important achievements in the field of energy production, as a result of which the Annadata is becoming the energy provider. Today, farmers in 24 districts of the state are getting electricity during day time, which will be made available in the entire state in the year 2027. Be it industry or consumers, adequate and uninterrupted power will be available to all. He said that the state government has been working to realize the projects related to Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, strengthening of Indira Gandhi Canal and Ganganahar, expansion of Dewas Project and Som-Kamala-Amba.
Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena said that the state government is strengthening the agritech sector by providing policy support, infrastructure and promoting innovation, thereby creating a favorable ecosystem for investors and entrepreneurs. Innovations and new technologies will be showcased in Gram-2026. Manju Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture Department, said that comprehensive reforms are being made in the agriculture sector in Rajasthan. Under this, special attention is being given to increasing the income of farmers by incorporating technology.
During this, Rajasthan Foundation Commissioner Manisha Arora, A-One Steel Chairman Julian Jalan, Jain Group Founder Dr Chenraj Raichand, Pride Group MD ML Saraogi, Rajasthan Foundation Bengaluru Chapter President Sachin Pandia, FICCI Agriculture Subcommittee Chairman and Kisan Craft CMD Ravindra Agarwal, Sati Export MD Sandeep Agarwal etc. were present.
