Even in the modern era, a gruesome example of how superstition can take a terrible form has come from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. Here, a young man brutally murdered his own deep friend due to the superstition to gain tantra learning and tantra power. The incident is of Gadhabasa under Golmuri police station area of Jamshedpur. The deceased has been identified as Ajay alias Jhannu, while the name of the murder accused is Sandeep Kumar, who is a resident of Garbasa.
Caught the conspiracy to take home
Police investigation has revealed that the accused Sandeep Kumar used to have a deep attraction towards Tantra Siddhi. Due to this superstition, he hatched a dreadful conspiracy. On Monday evening, Sandeep took his friend Ajay alias Jhantu, who worked with him, to his house. There he gave Ajay fiercely. Late night, around 12 o’clock, Sandeep took Ajay to the room and strangled him with a sharp -edged weapon.
The two youths worked together in the same shop and their friendship was quite deep. According to the locals, Sandeep Kumar was a superstitious person and he was highly interested in Tantra Vidya. Due to this superstition, he sacrificed his friend. This incident, which took place on auspicious occasion like Navratri, has stirred up the entire area and it remains a matter of discussion in the region.
Local people caught, police arrested
As soon as the information about this dreadful incident was received, the locals immediately came into action and caught the accused of murder Sandeep Kumar on the spot. People immediately reported the entire incident to the police of Golmuri police station. Police reached the spot immediately rushed the injured Ajay alias Jhannu to Tata Medical Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead. After this, the police have arrested Sandeep Kumar, a brutal murder accused and started investigating the entire incident intensively.
Black shadow of superstition in Jharkhand
The incident is a new link in the series of barbaric murders in the name of witchcraft, Ojha Guni and Tantra Siddhi in Jharkhand. This is not the first incident of murder due to superstition even in this era of modernity.
In September, a similar surprising incident was also revealed in Tandwa police station area of Chatra district of Jharkhand. There, in the fear of Ojha Guni, the bullies had brutally murdered a person named Dharmadev Oraon. The accused had cut the tongue of the deceased with a sharp weapon, then beaten to death with sticks and later burnt the body. A total of 6 people were arrested by the police in that case.
The incident of Jamshedpur once again reveals that the black shadow of superstition in both rural and urban areas is still deep, against which there is a strict legal action as well as there is a strict need to conduct awareness campaign.
