First phase of Census 2027 begins: Enumerators will go door-to-door to count and list houses.

Jodhpur. Under Census 2027, the first phase of house listing and house counting will be conducted from 16 May 2026 to 14 June 2026. During this period, enumerators appointed by the state government and administration will go door-to-door in their allotted areas and do the listing and counting of houses.
Chief Census Officer and District Collector Jodhpur Shri Alok Ranjan, while directing the enumerators and supervisors, said that the work of census is very important and responsible, because on the basis of this, the outline of the future plans and development works of the nation is prepared. He directed that field work should be conducted with seriousness and caution keeping in mind the weather conditions.
He said that in the initial three days the enumerators will inspect their allotted area and prepare a visual map. After this, accurate and correct information will be collected from door to door through the mobile app. The District Collector said that in case of any problem during field work, the enumerators can contact their respective supervisor, charge level or the control room established at the district level.
In the program organized at Atal Seva Kendra, District Collector Mr. Alok Ranjan released the poster of Census 2027 and while giving good wishes to the enumerators and supervisors from the district level, they flagged off and sent them off for the sacred task of census.
District Census Officer and Additional District Collector (First) Mr. Jawahar Chaudhary, Deputy District Census Officer and Joint Director of Economic and Statistics Department Jodhpur Mrs. Meenakshi Chaudhary, Subdivision Census Officer and Subdivision Officer Mr. Pankaj Kumar and Charge Census Officer and Tehsildar Jodhpur Mr. Krishnapal Singh were present in the program.
On this occasion, the District Collector appealed to the general public to cooperate in this work of national interest.
