Prayagraj. In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a huge crowd was seen on the banks of Sangam on the special occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and Parshuram Jayanti. There was a steady stream of devotees since Sunday morning and people kept coming to take a dip in the holy Sangam. A religious atmosphere was seen in the entire area and devotees took bath and prayed for happiness, prosperity and blessings. Devotee Pratibha Rai, who reached Prayagraj Sangam, told that today is the day of Akshaya Tritiya, so she has come with her family to take bath. He said that bathing and worshiping in Sangam on this day has great importance and it brings auspicious results in life. She also said that she has come here with wishes for the happiness and prosperity of her family. Devotee Anita Yadav said that doing charity on the day of Akshaya Tritiya has special significance. He said that donations made on this day give manifold results. He wished for the prosperity of his family and the entire country and said that the most important thing is that everyone should be happy and safe.
Another devotee Sneha said that today she has prayed for happiness, peace and good health for her family, people around and the entire country. He said that the importance of health has increased even more since the Corona epidemic. According to him, being healthy is the biggest wealth, because without health no happiness in life can be complete. He also said that doing charity and taking blessings of elders on this day is considered very auspicious.
A Brahmin present at the Sangam told that today both Akshaya Tritiya and Lord Parshuram Jayanti have special significance, hence a huge crowd of devotees has gathered at the Sangam. He said that bathing in the Ganga, worshiping and donating on this day gives special results. Those who donate to Brahmins, there is happiness and prosperity in their lives.
He further said that Akshaya Tritiya means that the results of auspicious works done on this day never end. Therefore people should do good deeds and avoid wrong deeds. He told that the biggest message of this day is that man should do good deeds, so that there can be happiness, peace and success in life.
