Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday flagged off the first batch of pilgrims for Shri Amarnath Yatra from Jammu. With this, this annual journey formally began. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha offered prayers before leaving the group of pilgrims for Amarnath Yatra. On this occasion, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Sunil Sharma and BJP MLA Arvind Gupta were present. He further wrote, “The journey of Shri Amarnath ji is a spiritual awakening. Every step taken on this holy path is a proof of unwavering faith and dedication towards Baba Amarnath. May the journey of all the devotees be safe, auspicious and full of spiritual bliss. May Lord Shiva bless us all.”
Speaking to news agency , BJP MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said, “This time the number of pilgrims is seen in the Yatra more than before. There is no dearth of arrangements here either. The administration has made all the arrangements. Especially the Municipal Corporation, Tourism Department, Police and many other government agencies have worked day and night to ensure that the devotees are provided with all the facilities.”
He said that devotees from all over the country are participating in this yatra. Along with this, the BJP MP said, “I want to appeal to everyone to come for the darshan of Baba Barfani and seek his blessings.”
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Sunil Sharma said that there is zeal and enthusiasm among the pilgrims about the Amarnath Yatra. Today the first batch has left. For this journey which will continue till 28th August, we wish Baba Barfani to make the journey of the devotees coming from many provinces of the country pleasant and successful.
Sunil Sharma said that Amarnath Yatra is a very unique journey. There is no journey like this anywhere else in the entire world. This is a holy place on this earth, where Baba Barfani gives physical darshan.
BJP MLA Arvind Gupta said, “It is a proud moment for me that I got the opportunity to flag off the Amarnath Yatra along with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. There was a different enthusiasm among the devotees regarding this yatra. The entire Jammu city is also decorated for this yatra.”
