-Outline of programs decided in the meeting of Rajasthan branch of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Jaipur. Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that there will be four big programs in the 75th year of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. The celebrations under the year-long Amrit Mahotsav will be historic and glorious. This festival will be dedicated to the legislature. According to the specifics of the function, the President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Lok Sabha will be invited. The programs will include special sessions by parliamentary and constitutional experts. The Governor, Chief Minister and Ministers of the state will be invited to all the functions. Devnani said that this Amrit Mahotsav will be such a national event that connects the history, present and future of democracy in one thread, in which experience, tradition, innovation, women, youth energy and public trust will be seen together. This event will be a celebration of the glorious spirit of Indian parliamentary democracy. Speaker Devnani was discussing the celebrations to be organized in the 75th year of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Rajasthan branch in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. In the meeting organized under the chairmanship of Speaker Devnani, special invitees were Member and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Leader of Opposition and Vice President of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Rajasthan branch Tikaram Julie, Secretary of the Association and MLA Sandeep Sharma, Executive Committee members MLAs Pushpendra Singh, Srichand Kripalani, Shobha Chauhan, Harimohan Sharma, Hamir Singh. Along with Bhayal and Devi Singh Shekhawat, Principal Secretary of the Legislative Assembly Bharat Bhushan Sharma was also present.
Conference of former and present MLAs-
It was decided in the meeting that the first program to be held in the month of July will be a huge conference of former and present members of the 1st to 16th Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan, in which the historical journey of democracy will be brought alive. Important and outstanding laws, socially transformative decisions and parliamentary traditions will be reviewed. Former Assembly Speakers, Deputy Speakers and senior members will be given special honor in the ceremony. The experiences and challenges of the journey of democracy, legislative heritage, dignity of the House and digital transformation of the Legislative Assembly will also be discussed in the conference.
Conference of women legislators-
The second program in the month of October will be dedicated to women. Women MLAs from across the country will participate in it. The evolutionary perspective of women MLAs playing a role from society to the House, the experiences of former women MLAs and the aspirations of young women MLAs along with the increasing participation of women in policy making and administration will also be discussed.
Youth will learn parliamentary etiquette-
Under Amrit Mahotsav, information about parliamentary etiquette will be given to the youth of the country to connect them with the roots of democracy and make them aware of the Constitution. Students selected in competitions on Constitution awareness in schools, colleges and universities will participate in the Youth Parliament in the proposed ceremony in January.
All India Legislative Mahakumbh –
Devnani said that the grand finale of Amrit Utsav will be the All India Legislative Mahakumbh. Legislative leadership from across the country will participate in the proposed Mahakumbh on Rajasthan Day 2027. State legislatures, Speakers, Vice-Speakers and Secretaries will also be invited to the function.
