A commendable initiative is being taken by Rajasthan Journalist Council keeping in mind the health of media personnel and their families. On Sunday, June 21, 2026, a free diabetes and retinal check-up camp was organized by the Council at Manushree Hospital, Nirman Nagar, Jaipur. Many journalists and their families availed health counseling services and testing facilities in this camp.
In this camp, Manushree Hospital Head Dr. Manoj Aggarwal, Senior Neuro Surgeon Dr. Navneet Aggarwal, Senior Rehabilitation Specialist Dr. Himanshu Vashishtha and Gynecologist Dr. Payal Sharma provided consultation services.
Dr. Manoj Aggarwal, senior ophthalmologist of the hospital, said that diabetes patients often face serious problems like weak eyesight (retinopathy) and tingling or numbness in hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy). In this camp, special counseling was given to the patients on both these problems. During this period, retina examination of the patients was also done using state-of-the-art machines. Patients suffering from Neuropathy were treated with proper consultation by Dr. Navneet Aggarwal.
State President of Rajasthan Journalist Council, Rohit Soni said that it is the endeavor of the Journalist Council that all the journalist friends should adopt the motto ‘Stay Healthy, Stay Safe’ and such camps will be organized regularly with the help of various hospitals for different diseases. So that journalist colleagues and their families can get investigation, counseling and other services at one place.
