Gautam Buddha Nagar. Under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, a major and effective action was taken against narcotics in Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar. A total of 846.3091 kg of narcotics seized in the cases registered under the NDPS Act in various police stations were disposed of as per rules through the authorized agency. The estimated market value of these seized narcotics is said to be around Rs 4 crore 29 lakh 30 thousand 470. This campaign is being run in compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court, under which the seized drugs are destroyed in a safe and scientific manner as per the rules. The destruction process was monitored under the direction of DCP Narcotics Shaivya Goyal and in the presence of ACP Crime Umesh Yadav and ACP Lines Rakesh Pratap Singh. Ganja, Doda, Charas, MDMA and Diazepam tablets related to a total of 149 cases registered in 7 police stations of the Commissionerate were destroyed. It has been told that 5.510 kg ganja was recovered from 6 cases from Thana Expressway, 11.390 kg ganja and 510 grams of Doda from 19 cases from police station Badalpur, 28.810 kg ganja from 72 cases from police station Sector 49, 2.925 kg charas, 8.27 ml MDMA and 100 tablets of Diazapam, police station sector 761 kg of ganja (highest recovered) was recovered from 1 case of 58, 2.850 kg of ganja from 2 cases of police station Sector 142, 5.698 kg of ganja from 4 cases of police station Ecotech-3 and 27.608 kg of ganja was recovered from 45 cases of police station Beta-2.
In this, 761 kg of ganja seized from Police Station Sector-58 area alone was worth crores of rupees, which is considered a big achievement of Gautam Buddha Nagar Police.
Police officials said that this campaign against drugs will continue in future also. The objective is to completely stop drug trade and smuggling and to destroy the goods seized in related prosecutions in a safe and timely manner so that the legal grip on criminals can be strengthened.
Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar Police has clarified that strict and consistent action will be taken to protect the youth from the ill effects of drugs and to end the drug network in the district. The police have also appealed to the general public to share any drug-related information with the police without hesitation.
