The rising trend in gold prices has stopped in most cities of the country. On the morning of May 9, gold prices fell in three of the country’s four major metros – Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. In contrast, prices were seen increasing in Chennai. In the country’s capital Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has stabilized at ₹152,870 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold is now ruling at ₹152,670 per 10 grams. In Delhi’s bullion market, gold prices fell by ₹100 to ₹105,900 per 10 grams yesterday. In the international market, the price of spot gold is running at $4,721 per ounce.

Gold Prices in Delhi: In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹152,870 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold is ₹140,090 per 10 grams.
Mumbai and Kolkata: Currently, in Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹139,940 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is ₹152,670 per 10 grams.
Gold prices in Chennai: 24-carat gold price is ₹153,850 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold is ₹141,030 per 10 grams.
Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: In both these cities, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹152,670 per 10 grams, and the price of 22-carat gold is ₹139,940 per 10 grams.
Silver prices*
The prices of another precious metal – silver – are continuously rising. On the morning of May 9, its price rose to ₹275,100 per kg. In the international market, spot silver is trading at $81.14 an ounce. The previous day, silver price had fallen by ₹200 to ₹2,61,300 per kg in Delhi bullion market. In January this year, the price of silver in the country had crossed the ₹4 lakh mark.
