Chandigarh. MP Deependra Hooda said that the government should immediately ensure safe return of the youth trapped in trouble on foreign soil to their homes. He said that the government should send special planes for the safe return of the youth stranded abroad, so that they can return to their families as soon as possible. Deependra Hooda further said that under the rule of the BJP government, which is calling itself a double engine government, our youth are facing the brunt of unemployment in Haryana the most. The youth here, who left their country and state to work abroad, have to endure insult, harassment, pain and oppression every day. There are many youth who have either been taken hostage in foreign countries or have been fraudulently recruited into the foreign army by agents and thrown into Russia-Ukraine. Recently news came that Sonu (28) of Madanhedi village of Hisar and Karmchand (22) of Kaithal have died there. There are many youth whose families do not seem to have any trace of their whereabouts. These youth have not been able to contact their families for several months. Concerned about them, the distressed family members are appealing from the state government to the central government, but no concrete efforts are being made for the safe return of the youth. These family members also demonstrated at Jantar Mantar in Delhi but the government is still adopting an indifferent attitude.
He said that the BJP government is responsible for the plight of the youth of Haryana who have gone abroad in search of work. If the government had provided employment to the youth right here in the country then why would they leave their homes and go abroad. Deependra Hooda said that the government’s own figures show that there is no employment in Haryana, only unemployment has increased.
The government has admitted that 4.25 lakh posts are lying vacant in the government departments of the state but they have not been filled yet. Lakhs of youth are tired of filling forms and papers getting cancelled. Recruitment of Group-C, Group-D is stalled, results are pending and the government is still chanting ‘recruitment will happen soon’. At the same time, in the name of confirming the HKRN (1.29 lakh) employees, they were cheated a lot. Even after a year of elections, they are not being confirmed.
MP Deependra Hooda said that in fact the double engine of the BJP government has become a brake on the future of the youth. After the promise of providing 2 crore jobs every year was exposed, BJP lied in a new way in this election that it would provide 2 lakh jobs in 5 years, but the figures show that only 10,822 got employment in the last one year. In such a situation, it will take 18 years for BJP to fulfill this promise and by then the existing army of unemployed will have increased many times.
He reminded that last few months ago, the US government had deported a large number of Indian citizens from America in military planes in a humiliating manner, handcuffed and shackled. Due to which the youth of Haryana are in large numbers. India’s image was hurt across the world when the youth were deported in handcuffs and shackles like animals. The youth who sold all their land and property and went abroad in search of employment are now seeing only darkness ahead.
The government is turning a blind eye even after seeing this terrible situation. The matter of concern is that the people in the government did not even think about what would happen to these youth, either they would be forced to commit suicide out of despair or would get caught in the clutches of crime. Both situations are very dangerous for the society.
