A horrifying incident has come to light in Garhi Daulat village of Kandhla police station area of Shamli district. A cruel husband brutally murdered his wife and two innocent daughters. The motive behind the murder is shocking. The wife had gone to her parents’ house without wearing a burqa. Considering it a question of honour, the accused committed this dreadful act in the night seven days ago.
How did the matter come to light?
According to the police, accused Farooq works as a cook in a wedding. He lived in the village with his wife Tahira (32) and five children Afrin (14), Asmeen (10), Sehreen (7), Bilal (9) and Arshad (5). Farooq was having a fight with his parents for several months, due to which he was living in a separate house.
Before the incident came to light, Farooq’s wife and two daughters were missing for six days. Farooq’s father Dawood repeatedly asked him about his wife and daughters, but he kept avoiding the question. He told that he has kept them in a rented house in Shamli. When Dawood did not get any satisfactory answer, he informed the police on Tuesday evening and suspected his son of murder.
When the police took Farooq into custody and interrogated him, he made a sensational revelation. Farooq said that his wife often quarreled with him and wanted to run the house her own way. Moreover, a month earlier, she had gone to her parents’ house without wearing a burqa, which had tarnished her honour. Angered by this, he shot Tahira in the kitchen at 12:00 am on 10 December.
After his wife, he also shot his daughters.
At the time of the murder, his elder daughter Afreen woke up and reached the spot. Farooq shot him also. When his other daughter Sahreen arrived, he strangled her to death. After killing the three, Farooq buried the bodies in a 9-foot deep pit dug for a toilet in the courtyard and laid a brick floor over it.
