Bundi. A heart-wrenching accident occurred on Kota-Bhilwara National Highway-27 on Wednesday night. A speeding trailer crushed a family riding a bike at Dudhi Kudi cut of Dabi police station area. In this tragic accident, two real brothers and sisters and one of their cousins died on the spot, while the children’s father is seriously injured.
Were going to get medicine for a sick child, died on the way
According to the police, Madan Banjara, resident of Parana village, was going towards Dabi on a bike with his daughter Suman, son Ankit and nephew Karan. One of the children of the family was unwell and Madan had left the house to take him to the doctor. As soon as he reached near Dudhi Kudi cut on National Highway-27, an uncontrolled trailer coming from Bijolia hit his bike hard.
Heart-wrenching scene: Innocent people dragged far away
Eyewitnesses said that the collision was so severe that the trailer dragged the bike for a long distance.
Death of innocent people: All three children aged between 8 to 10 years died on the spot.
Father’s status: Madan Banjara was found on the road in a bleeding condition, who was immediately referred to MBS Hospital in Kota, where his condition remains critical.
Anger erupted on the highway: dead body was kept on the road and blocked
As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was mourning in Parana village and a large number of villagers reached the spot. Angry family members and villagers blocked National Highway-27 demanding compensation. The family members raised slogans against the administration and refused to pick up the dead bodies of innocent people from the road for a long time. The villagers demand that proper financial assistance should be given to the victim’s family and strict action should be taken against the accused driver.
Police action: Driver absconding, trailer seized
Dabi police station in-charge (SHO) Hemraj Sharma said that immediately after the accident, the driver fled leaving the trailer on the spot. Police have seized the trailer and registered a case against the unknown driver and started searching for him. Till late night, top police officers remained busy trying to convince the villagers and get the jam cleared.
