Narmadapuram. A painful road accident occurred last night on Narmadapuram-Pipariya State Highway. A fierce collision took place near Anchalkheda at around 1 am on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday between a Tavera car and a tractor-trolley laden with grains. This accident turned the happy atmosphere into mourning; In the accident, 5 people died on the spot, while 7 others are seriously injured. According to the information received, all the people traveling in the Tavera were residents of Makhannagar and Mahendrawadi. All of them had gone to attend the wedding ceremony of Raghavendra Morappa organized in Budhni. While returning at night, the side of the car collided with a tractor-trolley full of grains coming from the front near Anchalkheda. The collision was so horrific that the wheels of the Tavera flew away and the grains loaded in the trolley scattered on the road. There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. Hearing the noise, nearby villagers and passers-by ran to help. As soon as the information was received, the police team also reached the spot and with the help of the villagers, the injured and dead bodies trapped in the car were taken out. Everyone was immediately rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared 5 people dead.
These 5 people lost their lives: Most of those who lost their lives in the accident are youth, due to which there is a wave of mourning in the area: – Shubham Morappa (18), resident of Mahendrawadi, Vineet Yadav (22), resident of Mahendrawadi, Sahil Yadav (19), resident of Mahendrawadi, Hari Singh Yadav (57), resident of Mahendrawadi, Santosh Prajapati, resident of Makhannagar.
7 other people have been injured in the accident, some of whom are in critical condition. The injured include Aman Yadav, Vinod Uike, Bharat Yadav, Akash Ivane, Devansh Ivane, Sumit and Rajesh Dhurve. As soon as the information was received, a huge crowd of family members and villagers gathered at the district hospital in the night itself.
Police have established a path and sent the bodies for postmortem. Damaged vehicles have been moved to the side with the help of cranes to ensure smooth traffic on the highway.
