New Delhi, June 15 (). Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said that as India moves towards becoming a ‘developed India’, its partnership with France is opening up new opportunities for co-innovation and technological progress. At the same time, it is promoting such technologies and solutions, which will prove beneficial not only for both the countries but for the entire world.
He concluded a “productive day” in the city of Nice, France, with a dinner with key leaders from government, industry, innovation and investment in the presence of Eric Ciotti, Mayor of Nice.

Meanwhile, the government said India’s vision of ‘Develop India 2047’ and France’s ‘France 2030’ mission provide a strong foundation for future-focused innovation partnerships. This will also increase opportunities for investment in new and disruptive technologies.
For this purpose, India and France have decided to adopt the India-France Innovation Roadmap 2030. This roadmap will guide the co-development of critical and emerging technologies between the two countries, strengthen a trusted technology ecosystem, enhance mobility in education and research, and achieve tangible outcomes for people, environment and shared prosperity.
India and France consider innovation as the main basis of economic strength, sustainable development, strategic autonomy and technological and industrial sovereignty.
According to an official statement, both countries believe that a strong innovation partnership will enable them to harness their full innovation potential and also help in finding solutions to global challenges.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Slovakia and the first phase of his France visit concluded.
“After a successful visit to Nice, France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Bratislava. During the visit, several bilateral agreements were signed with special focus on innovation and future technologies,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on social media platform X.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi had talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, in which discussions were held to further deepen cooperation between the two countries in many important areas.
Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter, “Today’s conversation with my friend President Macron was very successful. Considering the long-standing friendly relations between our countries, we have decided to take our relations to the level of ‘Special Global Strategic Partnership’.”
He further said, “In our talks, measures to enhance cooperation in defence, technology, space, security, counter-terrorism cooperation, innovation and many other important areas were discussed.”
