Nice, June 14 (). As soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached France, the Indian community welcomed him warmly. PM Modi described this honor received from the Indian community as memorable.

PM Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’ and wrote, “A memorable welcome from the Indian community in Nice. Even though they are many kilometers away from home, our community’s ties with India are as strong as ever.”

As soon as he reached France, the Prime Minister said, “I have reached Nice. Apart from Nice, this France tour includes events in Evian and Paris. There will be bilateral and multilateral interactions aimed at improving India’s friendship with key development partners. I look forward to meeting President Macron on Sunday and attending ‘India Innovates’.”

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that this visit will provide an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between India and France in specific areas. India and France will celebrate the year 2026 as ‘Year of Innovation’. Because of this, there will be special focus in the area of ​​innovation.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event will showcase India’s innovation ecosystem and provide a platform to startups and innovators to present their cutting-edge solutions and products.

PM Modi will also attend the G7 summit in France. Along with this, he will inaugurate ‘India Innovates 2026’ along with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate ‘Bharat Innovates’ along with President Macron on 14 June 2026 in Nice itself. The event is being held as part of the “India-France Year of Innovation”, which aims to connect India’s emerging startups with global investors and promote innovations coming out of the country’s higher education institutions.

After this, the PM will leave for a two-day (14-15 June) state visit to the Slovak Republic. Prime Minister Modi said, “This will be the first visit by any Indian Prime Minister since independence in 1993. In Bratislava, I will hold talks with President Peter Pellegrini and Prime Minister Robert Fico and will also meet business leaders from Slovakia. This visit will further accelerate the progress towards the India-EU Free Trade Agreement.”
