A video from Vietnam is going viral on social media, in which a Vietnamese man is surprising an Indian tourist with his language skills. In the video, a group of Indian tourists talk to him, and the man first speaks good Hindi, then says he knows something better than Hindi: “Your local language.” When people point out that he speaks Gujarati, the man immediately tries to answer in Gujarati.
“Kem Cho?” – “Maja Ma Chu”
When a tourist asks him “Kem Cho?” When he says hello, the man smiles and replies, “Maja ma chu.” Hearing this, all the Indian friends start looking at each other with surprise. The caption of the video also reads, “First Hindi, then Gujarati… This moment in Vietnam surprised us.” The video has received lakhs of views and thousands of comments. One user wrote that he had also met the same man, and he told them that he had watched all the episodes of the Indian TV show “Balika Vadhu”. One user commented, “At least he knows there are many languages in India.”

Indian tourists are increasing
In recent years, the number of Indian tourists coming to Vietnam has increased rapidly. Last year, around 400,000 Indians visited Vietnam, mainly due to easy flight connectivity and budget-friendly trips. The dry season from October to April coincides with the Indian holiday season, making this destination even more popular. Vietnamese people learn words from many languages to talk to Indian tourists, which is clearly visible in this video.
