Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani paid a courtesy call on Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi on Saturday. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani returned to New Delhi on Saturday from a five-day Char Dham visit to Uttarakhand. During the meeting with Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Assembly Speaker Devnani invited them for the function being organized in the 75th year Amrit Mahotsav of Rajasthan Assembly, which both of them happily accepted. Assembly Speaker Devnani told him that during the Amrit Mahotsav, four big programs will be organized from July this year to Rajasthan Day in March next year, in which All India Legislative Mahakumbh, conference of women MLAs from across the country, a program to connect youth with parliamentary etiquette, a conference and felicitation ceremony of former and present MLAs, as well as a special session of constitutional experts, etc. will be organized.
Assembly Speaker Devnani shared with both of them detailed information about the glorious journey of 75 years of Rajasthan Assembly as well as the many innovations made in the state assembly in the last two years. He told that Rajasthan Assembly has been addressed by many top leaders of the country including the country’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Devnani said that for the first time after the formation of the Assembly, new names of all the gates of the Assembly and its own logo have been issued. The specialty of this logo is that along with the structure of the grand building of the state assembly along with the Ashoka symbol and the national flag tricolor, Rajasthan’s state animal camel, state bird Godavan and state tree Khejri and the Sanskrit motto “Rashtraya Dharamnishtha Vidyalaya” below it, artwork like paddy ear has been engraved.
Assembly Speaker Devnani also presented a replica of the logo of Rajasthan Assembly to both of them. During the meeting with both of them, Devnani discussed various topics related to the country and the state. He also narrated his memories of his latest visit to Uttarakhand and also presented him the Prasad of Yamunotri, Gangatri, Kedarnath and Badrinath temples.
