Jaipur Police has taken major action against bikers who create noise and traffic disruption in the city. Especially vehicles fitted with modified loud silencers and pressure horns were targeted. Police seized more than 150 illegal silencers in Mansarovar area and lined them up on the road and crushed them with a road roller.

This action was taken under the supervision of DCP South Rajarshi. Police officials say the primary objective was to stop the rising noise pollution in the city and cases of bikers creating panic. He said that this step has been taken to provide a safe and peaceful environment to the people of Jaipur.

According to the police, the excessive noise emanating from the modified silencer and pressure horn is not only a violation of traffic rules but also causes mental stress and safety hazard to the general public and people nearby. Sometimes there is a possibility of accidents due to loud noise.

DCP South Rajarshi said that this is not only the first action. Police are constantly keeping a vigil in the city and strict action will continue against such vehicles. He warned the bikers that installation of illegal silencer or horn would definitely result in legal action and confiscation of the vehicle.
