Greater Noida. The much awaited Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) of Uttar Pradesh is now all set to take off. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to reach Greater Noida today, where he can take stock of the preparations before the inauguration. It is being told that on Saturday, the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Jewar at around 12 noon and will formally inaugurate this ambitious project. After the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister will also address a huge public meeting, which is expected to be attended by a large number of people. The administration and security agencies have made extensive preparations for this historic event. From security point of view, the entire area has been divided into several levels and police and security forces have been deployed at every nook and corner. Special surveillance is being maintained at the venue and surrounding areas, so that there is no chaos of any kind. A special plan has also been prepared to maintain the smooth traffic system. The administration has decided to temporarily ban the operation of goods vehicles on Yamuna Expressway and Noida Expressway. This restriction will come into effect from 7 am on Saturday and will remain in effect for approximately 16 hours. During this period, heavy vehicles will be diverted through alternative routes, so that VIP movement and the general public do not face any problem.
The local administration has appealed to the general public to follow the traffic advisory and avoid traveling on these routes unnecessarily. Besides, special guidelines have also been issued for the people attending the program. The opening of Jewar Airport is expected to give a new impetus to the economic and industrial development of not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire North India.
