Bokaro. Many shops were gutted in a massive fire on Tuesday evening in Siwandih Azad Nagar area located in Marafari police station area of ​​Bokaro district of Jharkhand. During this, two people got burnt and their treatment is going on.


It is being told that the fire started from the warehouse of a tent house, where a large number of LPG cylinders were kept. It is feared that the fire took a serious form after the explosion that occurred during cylinder refilling. Eyewitnesses said that at around six in the evening a sudden explosion was heard inside the warehouse. Immediately after this, several cylinders started exploding one after the other, which shook the entire area. High flames of fire were visible from a distance and there was an atmosphere of chaos all around.
The fire quickly spread to 10-12 shops adjacent to the warehouse, causing huge losses to the traders. As soon as the information was received, the police team of Marafari police station reached the spot and surrounded the area and removed the people to a safe distance. Considering the seriousness of the situation, nearby houses were also evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Six fire brigade vehicles were deployed at the spot. Amidst the continuous cylinder explosion, the fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control after a lot of effort. Two people were burnt and injured in the incident. Both of them were immediately sent to the hospital by ambulance, where their treatment is going on.
The cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed, although local people say that the work of refilling gas cylinders along with tent material was also done in the warehouse. Marafari police station in-charge Mohammad Azad Khan said that the loss could not be assessed at present. He said that the entire matter is being investigated and necessary action will be taken in case of violation of safety standards. –
