Jodhpur. Senior journalist, litterateur and poet Janab Adil Akhtar (Rabbasaheb) was cremated on Saturday morning in his ancestral graveyard located at Siwanchi Gate. Adil Akhtar died in the evening of 14 November 2025. He was considered a symbol of honest, impartial and Gandhian image in the world of journalism. During his journalism service, Adil Saheb served for more than 40 years in the Jodhpur edition of many prestigious newspapers including Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika, Dainik Jaltedeep, Dainik Jangan, Rashtradoot and Teesra Prahar. Your simplicity, loyalty and impartiality always kept the high ideals of journalism alive. In the morning, his funeral procession left his residence in Madhuban and reached his ancestral graveyard located in Siwanchi Gate area. Where he was cremated, he was burnt to ashes. He has a complete family including two sons and a daughter. Whereas his wife had passed away earlier. At the funeral of senior journalist Adil Akhtar, senior journalists of the city Rajkumar Vyas, Dr. Mahendra Bhansali, M.R. Malkani, Ajay Asthana, Syed Manuvar Ali, litterateurs and journalists joined Ajay Asthana.
