Orders to close HRTS plant
The Supreme Court has taken a very tough stance regarding the increasing industrial pollution in Jojri, Luni and Bandi rivers, which are considered the lifeblood of Western Rajasthan. A high-level team constituted by the apex court on Saturday conducted a stormy tour of Balotra area to stop the worsening environmental crisis caused by toxic water released from the textile industry. जस्टिस संगीत लोढ़ा की टीम ने सबसे पहले जोजरी नदी के दूषित पानी से त्रस्त डोली और अराबा गांव का दौरा कर जमीनी हकीकत देखी. इसके बाद टीम जेरला स्थित सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (STP) और बिठूजा उपचार संयंत्र का निरीक्षण करने पहुंची [cite: इसके बाद जेरला स्थित सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (STP) और बिठूजा उपचार संयंत्र का भी निरीक्षण किया गया.

सीवरेज में केमिकल पर रोक: घरेलू सीवरेज लाइनों में फैक्ट्रियों का खतरनाक केमिकल युक्त पानी किसी भी सूरत में मिक्स नहीं होना चाहिए। टीम ने अधिकारियों को स्पष्ट शब्दों में निर्देश दिए कि सीवरेज लाइनों में फैक्ट्रियों का केमिकल युक्त पानी किसी भी हाल में नहीं मिलना चाहिए.
टैंकर माफिया पर कड़ा प्रहार: अधिकारियों को विशेष निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि जो टैंकर माफिया रात के अंधेरे में अवैध रूप से सीवरेज या खुले में केमिकल पानी डंप कर रहे हैं, उनके खिलाफ तत्काल सख्त कानूनी एफआईआर दर्ज कर उन्हें जेल भेजा जाए [cite: विशेष रूप से उन टैंकरों के खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई करने का आदेश दिया गया जो रात के अंधेरे में अवैध रूप से केमिकल पानी सीवरेज में डाल रहे हैं.].
Pollution board reprimanded, ultimatum to close HRTS plant immediately
The team expressed deep dissatisfaction after seeing the poor condition of the HRTS plant of CETP located on the banks of Luni river. The team has issued strict instructions to the District Collector to seal (close) this plant with immediate effect and immediately remove the toxic sludge (solid waste) accumulated there for years.
RSPCB got a class: During the inspection, the team expressed displeasure over the functioning of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) officials. The team scolded the officials and bluntly said that 100% compliance with pollution standards should be ensured, otherwise the fall is certain. Playing with the environment in the name of industrial development is not acceptable
The Supreme Court team has given a clear message that no compromise will be made with the health and environment of the general public in the name of development. The team stressed the need for the district administration to create a state-of-the-art and effective digital mechanism for monitoring the treatment and discharge of industrial waste water.
Final warning: If even the slightest negligence in river conservation and improvement works is found again, then strict punitive action will be taken directly against the concerned factory owners as well as the responsible administrative officers of the area.
