Haridwar . On the second day, as part of the centenary celebrations of All World Gayatri Parivar, Shantikunj, the convocation ceremony of Dev Sanskriti University was organized in a very dignified atmosphere. On this special occasion, Juna Peethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri was present as the chief guest. He encouraged the students by giving them gold medals and degrees from the stage. A total of 1160 students were awarded degrees in the convocation ceremony. These included students who received gold medals as well as students who obtained degrees in different subjects. During the ceremony the entire campus echoed with thunderous applause and enthusiasm. Happiness was clearly visible on the faces of the students and their parents. While talking to the media after the ceremony, Swami Avadheshanand Giri talked about the Sanatan tradition and the role of Gayatri Parivar. He said that Sanatan tradition is not a small thing, but it is a great movement. Gayatri family has always given the message of equality to the society.
He said that Gayatri Parivar has a clear message that men and women are equal, all castes are equal and every caste is great. Every human being is a child of God and there should be no discrimination among anyone.
Swami Avadheshanand Giri further said that the biggest quality of Indian culture is that we are all one. There is only one Brahma in all of us and we are all children of one God. This thinking makes India different and great from the world. He said that Gayatri Parivar has started a constructive and positive movement in the society, which is not just a one-time but a continuous campaign.
During this, he also expressed his opinion on the ongoing controversy regarding the entry of Muslims in the holy places related to Sanatan Dharma. He said that maintaining the sanctity and safety of any pilgrimage site should be the biggest priority. Pilgrimage places are not just religious places, but are centers of faith, tradition and culture, hence it is very important to follow discipline and decorum there.
