Chandigarh, April 29 (). Former MP Pawan Bansal expressed his opinion while talking to on Arvind Kejriwal’s Satyagraha, Gujarat election results and law and order situation in Punjab.
On Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s letter to Delhi High Court judge Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma and ‘satyagraha’, Congress leader Pawan Kumar Bansal said, “I find this ridiculous and completely absurd. It is against the judiciary. Kejriwal considers himself above the common people, and his party has taken political advantage of the civil society movement. You cannot decide which judge will hear your case. This is the job of the Chief Justice. If the judge If freedom of choice is given, there will be an atmosphere of chaos in the country. For the first time in history, an accused would have demanded to choose a judge for his case.
Regarding West Bengal elections, Pawan Bansal said, BJP is adopting all kinds of tactics to win. BJP is trying to form its own government at the Center and all the states and then make the constitution as per its own. An example of this are the 7 Rajya Sabha MPs of Aam Aadmi Party, who were merged by BJP. This is a kind of attack on the Constitution. This law is also not right. According to me, the decision of the Rajya Sabha Chairman in this matter is wrong. Aam Aadmi Party should challenge this matter in court. The President can have no role in this matter.”
On Mohan Bhagwat’s statement regarding ‘Hindu Rashtra’, Bansal said that India is a secular country and its diversity is its strength. He expressed hope that the country should focus on better governance while maintaining secular values.
Earlier, Pawan Bansal had said, “It is unethical for Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha members to leave the party like this. The general perception is that AAP is not a party, but it was used to create a special environment, which the BJP was shaping at that time.”
