A case of kidnapping and subsequent rape of a 14-year-old minor girl has come to light in Jaipur. After five days of continuous hard work, the police recovered the girl safely from Jharkhand and arrested the accused neighbour. Medical examination revealed that the victim was about 5 months pregnant.
According to the police, the minor lived in Jaipur West area. His family members had lodged the report about a week ago. The complaint said that his daughter had left the house for some work, but after that she mysteriously went missing. On this the police immediately registered a case of kidnapping and started searching for the girl.
Investigation revealed that the accused is the neighbor of the minor. He kidnapped the minor after getting information that she was pregnant. The police examined the surrounding areas as well as analyzed CCTV and other footage. On the basis of this footage, the team was successful in reaching Jharkhand to the accused and the victim.
The police conducted a medical examination of the minor, which confirmed that she was about five months pregnant. This incident was not only shocking for the family, but has also increased concern and anger in the society.
Jaipur West Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections of kidnapping, rape and crimes against girls. The accused will be arrested and presented in the court. Apart from this, the police is investigating other possible associates.
The family appreciated the promptness of the police and said that their daughter has returned safely, but the incident has deeply shocked the family and society. He demanded from the government and administration that more stringent steps should be taken regarding child safety.
