Faridabad. Lala Lajpat Rai was not only a great freedom fighter but also a social reformer, educationist and a powerful orator. On the occasion of Lala Lajpat Rai Jayanti, State President of Aggarwal Vaishya Samaj Ashok Buwaniwala said these remarks during the Lala Lajpat Rai Jayanti celebrations organized in Faridabad. Organized in conjunction with the Faridabad unit of the society, the program was inaugurated by chief guest Ashok Buwaniwala by paying floral tributes on his portrait. Remembering Lala Lajpat Rai on this occasion, he said that Lala Lajpat Rai awakened self-respect and indigenous sentiments among the countrymen. He connected the people with the freedom movement by calling for boycott of foreign goods and adoption of Swadeshi goods. He believed that unless the society is educated and organized, the nation cannot become strong. Referring to the opposition to the Simon Commission, he said that the courage with which Lala Lajpat Rai faced the British rule is a golden chapter in Indian history. His sacrifice provided new energy to the country’s freedom struggle and inspired the coming generations to struggle. He said that Lala Lajpat Rai was not only a political leader, but he was also an opponent of social evils and a strong supporter of education. He established many educational institutions in the national interest and worked to connect the youth with nation building. His thoughts are a guide even today. In the present times, the relevance of Lala Lajpat Rai’s ideas has increased further. When society is going through various challenges, his principles inspire us to keep unity, self-reliance and national interest paramount.
He taught the society that unless we are organized, we cannot fight any kind of injustice. Even today, his thoughts are as relevant as they were during the freedom movement. He dedicated every moment of his life to the nation. His struggle, sacrifice and sacrifice will always inspire the countrymen. The birth anniversary celebration gave the message that keeping the thoughts of great personalities alive is the true respect for them.
Giving information on this occasion, Buwaniwala said that the general body meeting of Agrawal Vaishya Samaj is being organized in Vrindavan on 7th March. Biennial elections of the society will also be conducted during this meeting. He told that Vaish brothers from every corner of the state will participate in this program and show their unity.
