Patna, May 30 (). Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has reached Singapore for regular health checkup. He was warmly welcomed by his daughter Rohini Acharya at the Singapore airport. The video of the emotional meeting of father and daughter is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
While meeting her father after a long time, Rohini Acharya became emotional and welcomed him with a hug at the airport. During this time other family members were also present and an emotional atmosphere was seen.
It is being told that Lalu Yadav has also taken mangoes, litchi, laddus and other household items with him from India, which he took to his family members living in Singapore.
Rohini Acharya shared the video of this meeting on social media and expressed her deep affection for her father. He wrote in an emotional message that it felt as if God himself had come to his house. Describing his father as the center of his world, he said that all the four Dhams have come home for him and even the dust at his feet is like a blessing.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2022, Lalu Prasad Yadav had a kidney transplant in Singapore. At that time Rohini Acharya had saved her father’s life by donating one of her kidneys. Since the successful transplant, Lalu Yadav has been visiting Singapore from time to time for regular health check-ups and follow-up consultations.
According to sources close to the family, this time too his visit is only for a scheduled medical checkup. During his stay in Singapore, he will stay at Rohini Acharya’s residence only.
Rohini Acharya has been active in politics along with her family role. He contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as an RJD candidate from Saran parliamentary seat and took an active part in the politics of Bihar.
In recent years, there were reports of differences in the family and in some circles of the party. Rohini had publicly alleged that some people close to Tejashwi Yadav behaved inappropriately with her and held her responsible for the election defeat. He also expressed displeasure over the lack of respect.
Following these developments, Rohini reportedly stayed away from many family events. Recently, she also did not attend the birthday celebration of Tejashwi Yadav’s son Iraj, even though most of the family members were present at that event.
