Imphal . Assam Rifles has postponed a major threat in Kakching district of Manipur. Assam Rifles have successfully disabled the IED on Friday. He gave information about this operation through social media platform. Assam Rifles also shared some photos of this operation on social media platform X.
He wrote, “Assam Rifles along with the Wangu Police recovered the 8.467 kg IED near Wangu Lamkhai Road in Kakching district of Manipur and safely neutralized. This device included TNT, Splinters, Screw and a detonator, which was condensed by bomb disposals (bomb disposals) experts of Assam Rifles. The big danger was averted. “
Earlier, on 23 September, nine hardcore militants were arrested by the army and other security forces under a series of joint operations in various districts of Manipur. 36 weapons, some improvised explosive devices (IEDs), drugs and other war goods were recovered from them.
In addition, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police in Manipur from 31 August to 6 September had carried out joint campaigns in Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Chandel, Thobal, Kakching, Imphal West and Imphal East districts. In these operations, 11 militants were arrested and five weapons, opium worth Rs 6.9 crore, 690 liters of fake liquor and other war materials were recovered from them.
Earlier, on 3 September, four activists of the Kanglipak Communist Party (KCP) and People’s War Group (PWG) were arrested from Lamshang and Larenkabi regions of Imphal West. On the same day, an militant of PLA was arrested by the Indian Army and the Lirbung Police at Basikong Lai Lampak in Bishnupur.

In fact, Assam Rifles, along with the local police, recovered an 8.467 kg improvised explosive device (IED) near Wangu Lamkhai Road in Kakching district of Manipur, after which he was safely disabled immediately.
