Live-in partner brutally murdered: beaten and then strangled, dead body thrown in Yamuna

A heartbreaking incident has been revealed in Kanpur, in which a young man brutally murdered his live-in partner. After committing this heinous crime, he filled the body in a suitcase with the help of his friend and threw it into the Yamuna River in Banda. The murder was allegedly performed after a dispute due to the young man’s second girlfriend. Two months later, the police exposed the case and arrested the main accused and his friend.

What is the whole matter?

According to the police, the case is from two months ago, when Akanksha alias Mahi (20) went missing under suspicious circumstances. Akanksha was a resident of Rura in Kanpur countryside and worked in a restaurant in Barra. Meanwhile, he befriended a young man on Instagram, who later turned into a love affair. Both started working in the same restaurant and after some time they started living together as a live-in partner in Barra.

Akanksha’s mother Vijayashree lodged a complaint of missing her daughter at Hanumant Vihar police station on 8 August. In the initial investigation, the police did not pay much attention to it as a case of love affair, but the mother pleaded in the Police Commissioner’s office, after which the investigation accelerated.

Raj opened up with chat, controversy occurred

During the investigation, when the police questioned the main accused, he spewed the whole truth. He told that he had a love affair with many girls. When Akanksha came to know about these relations with WhatsApp chat in her phone, there was a sharp debate between the two. On the day of the murder, there was a fight between the two in the restaurant in the afternoon. When they reached their room at 10:30 pm, there was an argument again. In this anger, the accused strangled Akanksha and killed him.

Conspiracy to hide the dead body

After Akanksha’s murder, the accused called his friend. The two together locked the body in a large suitcase. After this, he loaded the suitcase on his bike and reached the Chilla Bridge in Banda. At around 2:30 pm, he threw the suitcase into the Yamuna River. Police said that the accused initially tried to mislead the police, but on the basis of evidence of his location and mobile interaction with the deceased, he broke and confessed his crime.

Police action

The police have arrested both the accused. Along with the main accused, his friend has also been arrested, who helped him to hide the body. Both will be produced in court on Sunday and sent to jail. This phenomenon shows the increasing challenges of live-in relationship and horrific consequences of betrayal in relationships. It also highlights increasing crime and insensitivity in the society. The quick action of the police is admirable, but such incidents are a deep sign of the decline of morality in the society. It is necessary that people should fulfill their relationships responsibly and resolve any dispute with negotiations instead of violence.
