The visit of great footballer Lionel Messi to India was very memorable. He came to India for three days, during which he visited Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat. In Gujarat, he went to Vantara in Jamnagar. Messi was a guest of the Ambani family. Vantara was his last stop in India, where he took part in many activities. Upon reaching Vantara, Messi, as a guest of the Ambani family, participated in puja and aarti at a temple and also chanted “Jai Mata Di”. A video of this has gone viral. Messi was present at the aarti along with Anant Ambani and his wife Radhika Merchant. During this time, his Miami teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul were also seen with him.

A video has been shared on Vantara’s Instagram handle. In this video, Messi can be seen performing aarti in a temple. He is seen participating in the aarti at a temple located on the campus. Not only this, he is also chanting “Jai Mata Di”. The caption of the video reads, “Vantara had the honor of welcoming Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul.” The caption further said that the players were deeply moved by the stories of rescue, treatment and care at the facility.
A lion cub was named after Messi
When Messi was in Vantara, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant named a lion cub in honor of the great player. The child was named Lionel. During his visit, Messi also visited a foster care center where orphaned and vulnerable animals are treated and cared for.
