Maharashtra: 4 people including police constable killed in two separate accidents

Mumbai/Jalgaon. Four people died in two separate accidents in Maharashtra on Wednesday. A police constable is also among the dead. About 6 people were seriously injured in these incidents. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. The first incident took place in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where three people traveling in a vehicle died. A newlywed bride was also included among them. According to the information, this accident happened near Varad Khurd village in Dharangaon taluka of Jalgaon. It was told that the tire of a cruiser going to Akola with a wedding procession from Gujarat burst, due to which the cruiser collided with a gas tanker parked on the highway. The accident occurred when the bride was returning after her wedding. There was an outcry after the incident. The injured were taken out of the vehicle with the help of local people. Six people were seriously injured. The condition of a small child among them was very critical. Shortly after the incident, all the injured were taken to the hospital via ambulance.
However, three people including the bride had died. The deceased were identified as bride Pooja Ravi Waghalkar, Dattu Bhagwat and Jagdish Waghalkar.
The second incident happened in Mumbai. A part of the crane fell on police constable Santosh Chavan during the construction of a Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) flyover in Mankhurd area, officials said. He died in this. Santosh Chavan was posted at Nehrunagar police station. When this accident happened, constable Santosh Chavan was going to his home.
According to Mumbai Police, the drilling machine was on rough ground. Therefore, it is believed that the crane fell on them due to a landslide. The process of registering a case against the concerned contractor is underway at Mankhurd Police Station, Mumbai.
