Gadchiroli. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed about the new GST system that this will save the common people and get rid of the burden of different taxes. PM Modi said that this structure has been prepared after discussion with all states, so that the interest of every class can be ensured.
Former minister of Ajit Dada Pawar faction and MLA from Aheri Assembly Dharmarawababa Atram welcomed the decision, calling it a historic step. He said that the central government has given great relief to the general public through this decision. Earlier, 28 per cent GST was levied on luxury cars and expensive goods, which has now been reduced to 18 per cent. At the same time, tax on daily use items like toothpaste and toothbrush has been reduced from 12 percent to 5 percent.
He said that it has been decided to reduce GST on farming and tractors related goods, which will reduce the financial burden on farmers and strengthen the agriculture sector. At the same time, bringing the insurance sector under the purview of zero percent GST is a historic decision. Earlier people were reluctant to take insurance due to more premium, but now it has become accessible and economical for ordinary citizens.
Atram further said that this decision leads to an atmosphere of happiness in the middle class and business class. He thanked Prime Minister Modi and said that this step of the government is going to give great relief to the people of the country.
Explain that this change has come into force in India’s tax system from Monday. The new Goods and Services Tax (GST 2.0) has become effective across the country, which is a major step towards simplifying the tax structure and providing relief to ordinary citizens. GST 2.0 is believed to be a major tax reform, which aims to simplify India’s indirect tax system and reduce the prices of more than 375 goods and services.
According to GST decisions, the GST rate on many items, including cheese, milk, bread, stationery, life -saving medicines and educational services, has become zero. These changes will be implemented immediately from today, which will reduce retail prices. Under the new GST rate, there will be zero tax on cheese and chhena (pre-packed), milk, bread, chapati, paratha, life-saving medicines (33 types), health/life insurance and educational services (tuition, coaching). Earlier these goods were taxed at 5 to 18 percent.
