Chandigarh BJP Mahila Morcha organized a dignified felicitation ceremony in Kamalam.

Chandigarh. Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh Mahila Morcha organized a dignified function at BJP office Kamalam, Sector-33 in the honor of Mahila Morcha office bearers on the occasion of becoming members in Khadi and Village Industries. This program was conducted under the leadership of State President of Mahila Morcha Heera Negi and guidance of Jatinder Pal Malhotra. In the ceremony, Mahila Morcha’s office bearers Sisters Farmila Singh and Nisha Sharma were specially honored by presenting them with bouquets and corsets. The association of both the officer sisters with Khadi and village industries was described as an important and inspiring initiative towards women empowerment.
Addressing the program, State President Heera Negi said that association with Khadi and village industries is a powerful medium to make women self-reliant. This not only promotes self-employment but also strengthens the resolve of “Local for Vocal” and “Self-reliant India”. Praising the efforts of Jatinder Pal Malhotra, he said that due to his continuous efforts, for the first time in Chandigarh, women have got a respectable place in Khadi and village industries, which is a matter of pride for Mahila Morcha.
Mahila Morcha in-charge Kailash Chand Jain also had a dignified presence on this occasion. Women activists present at the program praised this initiative and described it as a strong step towards connecting women with Swadeshi, self-reliance and social participation.
