Ganderbal. On behalf of Ganderbal Police, a coordination meeting was held with the nodal officers of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) for the smooth and safe organization of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026). In this meeting chaired by Ganderbal SSP Sudhanshu Dhama, the efforts to strengthen coordination between various agencies and preparations for smooth, safe and successful organization of the annual yatra were reviewed. In the meeting, emphasis was laid on ensuring better coordination between all the security and related agencies deployed for the Yatra. Security arrangements, deployment plans, traffic management, ways to deal with emergency situations, communication systems and arrangements for facilities for pilgrims were discussed in detail.
SSP Ganderbal stressed on ensuring availability of all essential facilities (such as accommodation, sanitation, medical aid, drinking water, power supply and other logistical needs) at Baltal Base Camp and other camping locations for the convenience and well-being of the yatris.
The officials also reviewed the emergency plans and stressed the importance of maintaining high level of preparedness, vigilance and coordination at all levels to effectively deal with any unexpected situation during the journey.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to provide a safe, peaceful and pilgrim-friendly environment and assured that all necessary steps are being taken in coordination with the CAPFs and civil administration to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
Let us tell you that Amarnath Yatra 2026 will start from 3rd July and it will end on 9th August (Rakshabandhan). Registration is mandatory for the yatra, the process for which can be completed through Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and banks.
