Tonk. A huge crowd of complainants gathered today in the district level public hearing organized in the Collectorate premises located at the district headquarters. In this public hearing organized under the chairmanship of District Collector Tina Dabi, people not only from Tonk city but also from remote rural areas came with the hope of solution to their problems. During this time, Deoli-Uniara area MLA Rajendra Gurjar also specially participated in the public hearing and along with the administrative officials, heard the complaints of the common people. Quick resolution of years old disputes, complainants of pending cases were called. On the instructions of District Collector Tina Dabi, a unique and sensitive initiative was seen in this public hearing. By giving priority to the disputed cases which were years old and pending for a long time, the administration was heard first. For this, the departmental officers themselves called the complainants of old pending cases and invited them to the public hearing. By arranging a queue in the Collectorate, each complainant was heard in a very disciplined manner and on the spot, orders were issued to the district level officers for their prompt disposal. All district level officers were personally present in the public hearing, while block level officers remained directly connected through video conferencing (VC).
In view of the scorching heat, the administration had made concrete arrangements
In view of the current record-breaking heat and wave of heat, special arrangements were made by the district administration in the Collectorate premises. A huge tent was set up to protect the elderly, women and common complainants coming to the public hearing from the sun. Along with this, proper arrangements were made for air coolers and fans and for quenching thirst, cool and soft drinking water, which brought great relief to the public.
Review meeting of water supply schemes: There will be strict punishment for negligence
Parallel to the public hearing, a very important review meeting regarding the drinking water system of the district was organized on Wednesday at the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Circle Tonk office. In the meeting, Additional Chief Engineer of the department Ramchandra Raad reviewed the current water supply situation in detail with all the technical and administrative officers of Tonk district.
Additional Chief Engineer did a surprise inspection of Kanfu area of Tonk. In the meeting, Additional Chief Engineer Ramchandra Raad directed the officials in a strict tone that in this scorching summer season, all the drinking water schemes of the district should be inspected regularly and at the ground level. He clarified that negligence or negligence at any level in water supply will not be tolerated at all. Providing timely and sufficient sweet water to the common people is the top priority of the department. He instructed the field officers to immediately resolve every small and big complaint related to drinking water.
Immediately after the review meeting, Additional Chief Engineer Ramchandra Raad also conducted a surprise inspection of Kanphu area of Tonk city. He went to the ground and took stock of the water supply system and provided necessary guidelines to the Superintending Engineer Rajesh Kumar Goyal and other concerned officials present on the spot to make the systems more strong and smooth.
