The annual meeting of The Motor Bus Operators Union, Bharatpur was held in Khandelwal Dharamshala on Sunday in an enthusiastic and cordial atmosphere. Bus operators, union officials and members of the district participated in large numbers in the meeting. During this, the annual activities of the organization were reviewed, various issues related to transportation business were discussed and the action plan for the coming year was discussed.
The program was presided over by union patron Pothi Singh Maderna, while Yadunath Darapuria and retired DSP Sukhveer Singh Solanki were present as special guests. In their address, the guests highlighted the important role of the transport sector and stressed the challenges faced by bus operators and the need for collective efforts to solve them.
During the meeting, the annual progress report of the union was presented, in which information was given about the work done by the organization in the last year, the efforts made to protect the interests of bus operators and the steps taken towards solving various problems by coordinating with the administration and transport department. The members also expressed their views on issues like increasing competition in the transport sector, operating costs, road safety, passenger amenities and modernization of business. The main attraction of the meeting was the election of the president of the union.
While completing the election process, Election Officer Vijay Kumar Goyal said that Meghraj Mukhiya has been re-elected as the president of the union with the unanimous consent of all the members. The special thing is that he has been elected president unopposed for the third consecutive time. On his selection, the members present welcomed him with thunderous applause and expressed confidence in the continued progress of the organization under his leadership.
Newly elected President Meghraj Mukhiya expressed his gratitude towards all the members and said that the trust reposed in him by the union is not only an honor but also a big responsibility for him. He assured that he will work with full dedication and commitment to protect the interests of the bus operators, strengthen the organization and resolve the issues related to the transport business. He said that efforts will continue to provide effective solutions to the problems of bus operators by establishing continuous communication with the administration and related departments.
On this occasion, Inderjit Bhardwaj, Kartar Singh Maderna, Maharaj Singh Kharka, Mahesh Chand (BG Travels), Jagram Singh, Gyan Chand, NK, Harendra Singh, Manoj Kumar, Bhagwan Das Bansal, Ramesh Chand Gupta, Shyam Mahesh Maderna, Ashok Kumar Goyal, Ravindra Singh Choudhary, Niranjan Singh, Sohan Lal, Dinesh Chand, Vishnu Mittal and a large number of union members and bus operators were present.
