Bengal BJP has attacked the Mamata Banerjee government for the chaos at the event of football great Lionel Messi at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. Speaking about the chaos at Messi’s event, Union Minister of State Sukant Majumdar said, “This shows what TMC has done to Bengal. They hijacked the event. Money was looted. There was corruption in ticket distribution. They turned Messi into chaos.”
Sukanta Majumdar tweeted on social media site He said that thousands of sports fans had bought tickets to watch the football prince Messi at the Yuva Bharti Stadium today, but the administrative incompetence was so serious that they had to turn back!

Senior BJP leader Amit Malviya said on social media platform X that such an insult to the heart of Kolkata will always be recorded in the pages of history!
He said that only for political reasons, an internationally famous player like Lionel Messi was brought to Kolkata and a strange 70 feet statue of him was installed. Then, people were brought to the venue by purchasing tickets for Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
He said that due to very poor management, Messi was not even allowed to stay at the event and was taken away. The result was nothing but a big scam. Angry people entered the stadium grounds, broke chairs and tore posters. By the grace of God no major incident happened.
Malviya demanded FIR against the Sports Minister.
He said that for bringing an international player like Messi to West Bengal, playing with the emotions of common people and putting them in such great danger, the state’s Sports Minister Arup Biswas should immediately resign.
On the other hand, after Mamata Banerjee apologized for the incident, Amit Malviya said, “Stop shedding crocodile tears. This mismanagement and corruption is common in every work of your government. TMC has directly attacked the sentiments of the people of West Bengal and insulted every football lover.”
He said, “You should immediately hold those responsible accountable and seek their resignation. FIRs should be registered against Arup Biswas and Sujit Bose. They should be removed from their posts without any delay, and viewers who were forced to pay huge amounts for this program should be given full refunds.”
