Earlier the financial condition of my house was weak. After joining Rajivika, I started sewing work. After this I was made the cluster manager. Now my annual income is around Rs 1.25 lakh. I am grateful to the government for empowering me by making me Lakhpati Didi and giving me a distinct identity in the society.

It was difficult to run the household due to my husband’s low income. But association with Rajivika became the basis of my progress. Initially I started a small business, in which my husband also supported me fully. Gradually, with the increase in our income, the financial condition of the family started improving. Today our annual income is approximately Rs 2.5 lakh.

After joining Rajivika, my life got a new direction and identity. After getting training, I became an animal friend. Today I have four buffaloes and an electronic sewing machine. I am earning around Rs 40 thousand every month from animal husbandry and tailoring work. This has not only strengthened the financial condition of my family, but has also given me the confidence to become self-reliant.
– Kamala, animal friend
There was a time when our self-help group operated from a rented building. Today, with the support of the state government, we have our own building, which has given a new identity and new direction to our work. Presently 30-40 women have joined our group and are making jute bags, toys and other products. With a monthly income of around Rs 2.5 lakh, this group is empowering women financially.
– Maya, Entrepreneur
Sometimes the financial condition of our house was very weak. Facilities like housing and gas cylinder were provided through government schemes. After joining Rajivika, she became plaster co-ordinator and today she is running the utensil bank in the village. Got loan thrice from Self Help Group, which made me self-reliant. Now I am showing the way to other women to become financially empowered by connecting them with groups.
