New Initiative to Make the State a Major Filming Hub: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, jhunjhunu News in Hindi

Mandawa. Taking an important step towards making the state a preferred national and international filming destination, the Rajasthan Government has released the proposed Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025. Extensive provisions on subsidies/incentives and ease of doing business have been included in the policy, which will make the policy attractive for film producers compared to other states. Releasing the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Rajasthan’s cultural heritage, desert terrain, historical forts, palaces and diverse natural locations are world class. The new film tourism policy will establish the state as a filming hub and open new opportunities for employment and skill development for the youth. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that not only subsidies will be given to encourage film production, but smooth implementation of the policy will be ensured by simplifying the administrative procedures.
Subsidy up to 30% on film expenditure:-
There is a provision to give subsidy up to a maximum of 30% of the expenditure incurred on shooting of feature films, web series, TV serials and documentaries in Rajasthan. The maximum subsidy limit has been fixed for feature films at ₹3 crore, web series at ₹2 crore, TV serials at ₹1.5 crore and documentaries at ₹2 crore.
Minimum expenditure limit:-
To avail the subsidy, the minimum expenditure in the state will be ₹2 crore for feature films, while ₹1 crore will be mandatory for web series, TV serials and Rajasthani language films.
There are following provisions for availing subsidy:
1. Location Screen-Time Based Incentives
Locations in Rajasthan with 5-15%, 16-30% and more than 30% screen-time will get 10%, 20% and 30% subsidy respectively.
2. 50% shooting days are done in Rajasthan
A maximum subsidy of 30% will be available if 50% of the shooting days of the feature film is done in Rajasthan and the minimum expenditure limit is met.
3. 100% shooting in Rajasthan
If the entire film is shot in Rajasthan, then 5 percent additional subsidy will be given within the maximum subsidy limit.
100% reimbursement of fees at government locations:-
100% reimbursement of permission fee/fees (maximum five days) of shooting locations controlled by State Government and Central Government will be given.
Special encouragement to films winning international/national awards:-
International award winning feature films shot in Rajasthan will get a maximum incentive of ₹ 1 crore and films winning the National Film Award of the Government of India will get a maximum incentive of ₹ 50 lakh.
Scholarship Scheme-Students of Rajasthan will be benefited
The scholarship will be given to Rajasthan resident students pursuing study/training at Film and Television Institute of India Pune, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Kolkata and National School of Drama, New Delhi (NSD). Every year, 10 students will be selected and 100% tuition fee assistance up to a maximum of ₹50,000 and 100% stipend up to ₹5,000 per month will be provided.
Rajasthan Film Directory and new online portal:-
The Tourism Department will prepare a detailed directory of all the shooting locations in the state. Also, an online portal will be developed, in which the list of everyone from producer director to artist, technician, musician, choreographer and line producer will be available. This portal will become a one-stop solution for film producers.
Essentials of theatrical release:-
It will be mandatory to release Hindi films in theaters on a minimum of 200 screens, Rajasthani films on 25 screens and films of other languages ​​on 100 screens.
Mandatory credit to the state government and tourism department:-
It will be mandatory to give credit to the state government and tourism department for all subsidized films.
