The film ‘Dhurandhar’ is in controversy even before its release. There was a controversy regarding the film when the parents of martyr Major Mohit Sharma sought a stay on the release of the film in the Delhi High Court, but the court put the matter in the court of the Censor Board. The court ordered the Censor Board to investigate this matter while giving certificate to the film.

The Censor Board has given permission to release the film with ‘A’ certificate, but has been asked to make several cuts and changes in the film. The Censor Board has made it clear that the film has nothing to do with the life of Major Mohit Sharma. The film is complete fiction.

Film director Aditya Dhar has given clarification on social media that the film is not inspired by Major Mohit. It took Aditya Dhar almost 3 years to make this film. Two years were spent in the struggle to decide the story, research and star cast and budget of the film. Now this film is ready for release on screen. Advance booking of the film has started and the film will be released on December 5.
